All in one venue with no need to go somewhere else.. This luxury wedding venue has it all. You can celebrate your wedding by the water, host your reception in the elegant indoor wedding spaces or on an amazing deck overlooking the marina. You can add a sunset sail to your day or arrive by boat. The Anchorage has a great space to tie the knot, party and stay until the next morning. You will love the Hamptons-style interiors and enjoy the finest cuisine and wines.

There is no need to go anywhere else then this stunning location as it offers, beach, bush, rocks and amazing boardwalks. If you plan your wedding so you have time to get some shots during sunset you won’t be disappointed here, it is stunning! I even take some couples here that don’t get married at this venue. My top pick is the rock wall at the end of the Anchorage

Located in the heart of Nelson Bay ‘ Broughtons at the Bay’ will be amaze your guest offering panoramic views over the marina and beyond. The venue has a large guest capacity and indoor and outdoor options. I love the high ceilings here and the perfect view over the water. The venue is also suitable if there happens to be rain on your wedding day, but it is mostly used for the wedding reception

I have photographed wedding ceremonies at little beach, dutchies beach and several parks in Port Stephens with Broughtons at the bay as the place to party after the offical part is over. As this venue is located right at Nelson Bay Marine it has stunning location shoot options. Broughtons owns a floating pont which is great for bridal party images. The board walk a bit further at the marina is another stunning backdrop for images and of course the large balcony is perfect for some great sunset image. Sparkler exits are great down on the footpath.

This venue definitely needs to be included as one of the best wedding venues in Port Stephens as the location is superb!
Perched on top of Fingal Bay Surf Lifesaving club, Saltwater Restaurant offers the most amazing panoramic views across Fingal Bay for as far as your eye can see. Say ‘ I do’ on the massive balcony overlooking the clear blue ocean or opt for an inside ceremony with the same amazing views all over. Salt Water has space for up to 150 guests and is the idyllic private location for your wedding. It offers an open plan in/ outdoor setting with the crystal blue water as a backdrop.

Fingal Bay is perfect for a beachy wedding location shoot in Port Stephens. Barry Park a bit further up the road from Saltwater Restaurant offers a great outdoor ceremony spot and has an amazing board walk with bush backdrops
4. Whitesands- Shoal Bay Country Club

Located by the beautiful shoreline of Shoal Bay and just 100 metres from the Shoal Bay Country Club entry, the venue offers a stunning backdrop of crystal-clear water. Overlooking the popular Shoal Bay jetty this venue caters for intimate weddings up to larger groups of 600 people.

Of course Shoal Bay beach and the ever so popular Shoal Bay jetty are favourite with many bride and grooms. Other great nearby options are Zenith Beach, the beach and rocks underneath the Inner Lighthouse near Little Beach and for the very keen adventurous ones Tomaree Mountain.

If you are looking for a wedding with a vineyard charm, Wonganella Estate allows you to create an amazing wedding experience. This property is located on a hilltop with amazing views and gives you all the privacy you want. It has a beautiful garden and bush setting and the Barrel room features private booths, rustic decor and chandeliers.

Wonganella winery is great all year around with lush gardens, vines and an amazing bush setting. Nearby is also the option to take some images at birubu beach which offers fantastic options for sunset images.
6. Little Beach Boathouse

Little Beach Boathouse the only wedding venue right on Little Beach. Of course it offers superb views over the bay. The venue has an indoor and outdoor area for weddings right on the water

For sunset images the deck at the venue itself is just amazing. Often dolphins swim past. At walking distance is the jetty at Little beach and for views over the whole of the bay towards the headlands I often take couples to the Inner Light House which is also a great location for a ceremony.

A venue in the centre of Nelson Bay with magnificent bushland golf course enjoying views over the Tomaree headlands and see kangaroos jumping around on the golf course. You really don’t need to be a fan of golf to like this venue for your wedding. It has a big outdoor and undercover area and a function room that caters for up to 200 guests. Plus you can also get married right on the golf course!
