Family photo session Port Stephens – location Zenith Beach
It was great to chat to Jenna about her family photo session Port Stephens as I know she has the eye for details and would love my work as much as I love hers. Jenna is the owner of Picnic De Luxe and she organises picnics for special occasions and they always look amazing so perfectly colour coordinated and beautiful ( and yum!)
So when we were chatting about her shoot we knew straight away that the ‘ Golden Hour’ – when the sun is about to set and colours are so rich and beautiful – it would suit exactly with what she was after for her shoot.
To pick a beach for a family photo session Port Stephens is not easy as there are many around that are amazing and would suit really well. During a photo session I like to create as many different opportunities for gorgeous nature backdrops and Zenith Beach gives me great variety.
It is one of the beaches often ‘ forgotten’ , close to Tomaree Headlands where many tourists but also locals climb up Tomaree Mountain for a bit of exercise but also the amazing views over the bay and out to the ocean.
Zenith beach is high at the bottom of this mountain and has two entries. My favourite one is the board walk as it is a perfect place for a family photo shoot.
I absolutely loved the autumn colours in the outfits they were wearing for their family photo session in Port Stephens. It did match perfectly with the nice afternoon light and the orange warm tones of the rocks at Zenith Beach.
The girls loved finding little things in the sand to play with and were discovering more and more around them while I photographed them.
This gave me the perfect opportunity to photograph them exactly how they are.
