I am consistently been following government announcements and guidelines as well as researching advice from WHO and recommendations from the Australian Institute of Professional Photography to put in place revised photoshoot policies for the safe outdoor family shoots (and studio shoots)

So what will be different now with family photo sessions and Corona virus?

Outdoors and studio shoots will take place with some additional precautions and measures in place to help maintain social distancing.

The following COVID safe guidelines are in place when you have booked an outdoor session with ME Photography:

  1. If you are showing Coronavirus symptoms or if you or any of your household are self-isolating, you should stay at home. This is critical to staying safe. You can now reschedule your session once without any additional fees. (Similarly, if I am ill or there is inclement weather your session will the rescheduled to a mutually convenient date).
  2. Meeting points will be organised in quieter spots to minimise contact with others
  3. Locations… so far they stay the same… I always choose amazing locations that aren’t busy ( so other people won’t be in the shot too)
  4. Only bring those to the shoot that are part of the session. Group sizes will be kept to the government guidelines.
  5. I will keep a good distance from you, more than the required 1.5 meter distance… of course I will meet and greet you but we won’t shake hands or hug… and during the session I don’t ever need to be closer to you then the minimum 1.5 meters. I do use long lenses- like normal- which means I am often 3-4 meters away from your family.
  6. If your children love to get to know me first – closer up- we can organise a zoom session prior to the photo session.
  7. I will arrange longer gaps between two sessions, you will never meet another family waiting for me.
  8. As per government guidelines, it is not mandatory to wear face masks outdoors in NSW, but you may bring your own to wear between photos if you wish to. To look less intimidating to your children I will not be wearing a mask as we will be socially distanced, and in the open air. In this way you will be able to hear my instructions more clearly, as I shall be quite far from you for most of the session.
  9. I won’t ever be touching you or your children during a session, I will use hand gestures from further away, to pose you, rather than touching anyone. I will go through this all when we meet.
  10. Separate guidance will be provided for your gallery viewing, and ordering appointment.

If you want to cancel a photoshoot due to the virus and travel restrictions, we will look for a new mutual date, you don’t need to pay another session deposit.
