If you like church weddings a wedding at Sacred Heart Cathedral is amazing!
Catherine and Chris got married in May. I was very excited when I saw that they had planned a wedding at Sacred Heart Cathedral in Campbell’s Hill and had organised their party at the Greenhouse Eatery in Medowie.
Getting ready
Catherine was getting ready at her parents house in St. Gillieston Heights, not far from the ceremony location. Cath had organised a beautiful present for her dad, some special cufflinks for his shirt to wear to his daughter’s wedding.
Her bridesmaid Sharni and Made of Honour Kristy were there to help her getting in her dress and enjoy some time together before they left in a big limousine to the wedding at Sacred Heart Cathedral.
The ceremony wedding at Sacred Heart Cathedral
The church in Campbell’s hill is just beautiful.. only ashame it was a little hard for the limousine to get right to the door but it did not matter as the red carpet was rolled out and made a perfect entrance to the wedding at Sacred Heart Cathedral. The ceremony area was filled with flowers, which was so perfect, the ceilings of the church so high that is was a perfect backdrop for the wedding photos. The ceremony began with beautiful music and Father Paul started the church ceremony.
It is so special to marry in this church not only because it is just beautiful inside but the serenity around it was just magic for this wedding. After the offical part of the wedding and the big KISS Catherine and Chris walked slowly down the aisle past all the guests and everyone followed them outside for celebrations and hugs. This was a great moment for some detail shots of friends congratulating them and we got everyone together for a big group photo next to the church.
After the family photos we all made ourselves ready for the next trip, up to the reception location at the Greenhouse Eatery in Medowie.
This venue is great for good food and the ambiance is always amazing there but most of all it is also located near the golf course which is perfect for a location shoot. To make things easy Elizabeth- the wedding coordinator- had organised golf buggies for us to drive over the fields to get to some stunning locations. That alone was perfect for some hilarious shots! It was almost racing around half hanging out of the golf buggies and stop and go for a shoot in between. My assistant did a great job in holding the lights for me. It makes a difference in the photos to bring an external off camera light to the shoots that really make the images pop.
The reception
The Greenhouse eatery had proven to be a great location for a wedding with so many great spots for location photos just really nearby and with a fun buggy trip that made us all laugh non stop.
