Thinking of a wedding Port Stephens?
A coastal wedding Port Stephens is amazing and a perfect location for this is the Anchorage Port Stephens. When the bride starts with a big jug of water you know this will be a good party too..You know the pre party has been good at least đ
This wedding Port Stephens was held at one of my favourite locations in the bay at the Anchorage Port Stephens, a complete one stop for everything, from getting ready to ceremony, amazing location shoot down near the marina and the beautiful rocks to celebrating and partying at the reception.. and probably chilling out at the pools the next morning..!
While I was getting some detail shots of all the pretty things they had for their wedding- OMG love the sparkly shoes Mel had chosen..! the beautiful girls from A Beautiful Occasion dropped of the colourful bouquets from Mel and her bridesmaids. With a splash of gold I knew those vibrant colours would stand out and match perfectly with their dresses..! One of my favourite photos of getting ready for this wedding Port Stephens is Mel’s dad standing outside and in the reflection of the window you can see the chaos in the background of the girls getting ready, while his thoughts go to his daughter to be married soon..
Mel just had a full smile on her face the whole time, talking about a photogenic bride .. this is definitely one as in every image I took from her I could just see her contagious smile from ear to ear..!
The boys were getting ready in the loft at the end of the Anchorage Port Stephens, a private beautiful big space for all the guys to get ready. Their kids Sahara and India were getting excited to see mum and dad getting married and entered the ceremony at this wedding Port Stephens as first ‘couple’.
Marriage celebrant Jackie from Montage Ceremonies – who I have worked with many times- was there to speak and say some beautiful words and the most important ones to make them husband & wife..!
Standing in front of a circle of love in front of an amazing view over the bay this wedding Port Stephens was even more magic. Walking back down the aisle with rose petals thrown at them made some great photography easy for me..!
For the location shoot for this wedding Port Stephens all the surrounding near the Anchorage Port Stephens were already perfect. We were lucky it was low tide around the time we had our location shoot so we could head down the rocks, a beautiful spot at the end of the Anchorage. It was a cloudy day and the light was amazing as it was but to give it some extra pop I took my experienced assistant and some external lighting down too.. The secret camera trick is to underexpose the background a tiny bit and to pop in that extra light that will give the absolute most amazing light right where it needs to be and really makes that image pop. In photoshop then my assistant is photoshopped out ( although he doesn’t look bad at all – this time my husband helped me out haha so I can easily say this) so it all becomes picture perfect ready to be printed large on a wall or put in a stunning wedding album..!
